XYZ ACTIVITY GROUP
"What we love to do and why!"
NJDFL STUDENT CODE OF ETHICS
New Jersey Drama and Forensics League
The success of a tournament will depend on the cooperative effort of many,
Forensics will be a fun and rewarding experience only if together we maintain
an environment in which everyone shares in the process.

Respect each other’s work. At all times we must remain aware of our own and
others’ well being. Every person has a different level of talent and no person
should be discouraged from trying to improve it. In other words, always
maintain a positive attitude.

Acting requires discipline. While other people are working refrain from
activities and conversations. Nothing in the halls or classroom should cause
anyone’s concentration to be distracted. This is part of the discipline of
competition and needs to be adhered to for both your fellow actors’ sakes as
well as the judges.

You are to remain in the designated areas and no one is allowed throughout
the building.

Handle school property carefully. It does not belong to you. Vandalism or theft
of any kind will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate dismissal.

No food or beverages are allowed in any part of the school except the
cafeteria at any time during the competition.

No one is allowed to leave the school building without the permission of your
coach. You are entrusted to our care during the time in which you are at the
competition. Therefore, we will take no risks.

During the award ceremony we encourage cheering but
not chanting and
horns.
